A growing world of classifications, culinary law, recreational ontology, household precedent, and other things that became much more complicated than anyone intended.
Esoteria is the household attempt to classify reality according to rules that begin reasonably, survive argument, acquire precedents, and eventually become constitutional law. Current realms: food and sports/games. More will almost certainly appear against everyone's better judgment.
Cultures, tiers, weekdays, seasons, and the immutable truth that Taco Tuesday remains Taco Tuesday until duly amended.
Enter the culinary calendar →The Grand Unified Theory of recreation: Ball, Stick, Fight, Run, Endure. Secondary attributes may apply. Stick has override authority.
Enter recreational taxonomy →Binding household precedent: Curling, subjective judging, Dressage, Artistic Swimming, and the jurisprudential importance of Tingles.
Read the case law →Choose a culture to view its seasonal weekday matrix. Tier is descriptive metadata only. Culture may change midweek, but a cultural run must persist for at least three consecutive days. Dish assignments may change at seasonal boundaries.

The mature Esoterian taxonomy reduces legitimate sports and games to five primordial human activities. Hybrids exist, but every activity gets a primary constitutional classification.
If victory is decided by stopwatch, distance, score, knockout, pin, weight, repetitions, or another objective condition, it may be a sport. If judges decide who looked better, it is a performance competition.
This is the central Sport Test. Athletic difficulty does not override an aesthetic victory condition.
When the taxonomy encounters an edge case, the Court creates precedent. Some decisions are sober. Historical evidence suggests others were rendered after cider.
Curling initially appeared to be Fight + Accuracy. Wife observed that players use sticks. The Court reconsidered.
Ice dancing, figure skating, artistic swimming, judged dance, and similar activities may be extraordinarily athletic while still failing the objective-victory test.
Dressage entered the record as the canonical horse-based challenge to the Sport Test: extraordinary training and athleticism, but an outcome determined by judged qualities such as rhythm, suppleness, impulsion, submission, and rider position.
Athletes perform extremely difficult synchronized routines in water, but victory depends on judges evaluating execution and artistry rather than an objective finish condition.
Esoterian jurisprudence recognizes Tingles as a real phenomenon and a recurring evidentiary issue in the household's dressage litigation. Its precise causal role in human enthusiasm for horses remains a matter for future drunken appellate review.
An attempted constitutional amendment proposed that all sports be conducted naked in the manner popularly associated with ancient athletics.
